Dj Dayeh (feat. Mc Bibi Da Drak) - "AFF TA EM INGLES (Florence + The Machine Remix)"
Dj Dayeh and I do not speak the same language, much like Florence Welch and Dj Dayeh not speak the same language.
But that doesn't matter: female intuition is some magical shit that actually transcends borders and boundaries or a bunch of words forced down our throats by men, like they force their opinions down our throats, and force us to create art according to rules that do not make sense to us, because they were written by people who did not want to listen to the voices of women, and in fact many of them fucking hated our voices too.
That is why Dayeh is so powerful to me: in not just a scene, but an entire world, where women are so frequently seen as little more than mouthpieces for what men think we should say, Dayeh speaks more powerfully than anyone, by not using her voice at all, but masterminding the entire production from behind the decks, as a benevolent mother instead of a manipulative puppet-master, which is how men so often approach the abilities of female artists who risk so much more than any of you, while receiving so much less credit for any of what we put up with every day of our lives.
Bruxaria was created by a woman, because only women can truly be witches. It's time to give Dayeh the flowers she deserved long before we made you actually listen to the girls. Go be a warlock or a wizard or whatever costume you little boys want to try on for Halloween this year. This sacred coven of fearless bitches united by banging beats isn't for you.
Trust me: pretty soon, we are going to be putting out Dj Dayeh's debut record. A project that will quite literally change the world, because Dayeh has already changed mine, and we haven't even set foot on the same continent. That is the power of true female intuition. That is what witches actually do. They unite on a deeper wavelength, beyond words, that so many of you cannot even see, because you would have to actually let yourself feel in order to do that.
I will never forget you, Dayeh, because I'm down for this ride until the wheels fall off or until my voice gives out from shouting along to your tracks when we finally get to share a baile together. Whichever comes first.
